The recent GTA 6 video leaks consisting of 90 videos of around 3 GB have been confirmed as real. The hacker claims that he has access to the highly secured source code of GTA 5.

The developers of the game, Rockstar Games, have been demoralized and absolutely devasted by this massive data infiltration.

This is arguably the biggest leak in the gaming industry, and even though it may help Rockstar Games give some hype, it is quite gruesome and would cost them millions of dollars.

What was GTA 6 Video Leak?

Recently, a GTA Forums user name “teapotuberhacker” claimed that he has a collection of 90 GTA 6 leak videos.

He further mentioned that the all-new GTA 6 is based on the source code of GTA 5 combined with new elements to give it an entirely fresh view. He further mentioned that he was part of the recent Uber hack.

The videos he shared went viral on social media platforms, hitting a strong jab at the developers at Rockstar Games.

Along with the leak of video files, the hacker also claimed that he has much more data than what he shared publicly. This data includes the closely-guarded source code of GTA 5. This closely guarded data is worth millions of dollars.

Even though Rockstar Games hasn’t confirmed anything about this leak, reporters with a close connection with Rockstar Games have confirmed that the leaks are real.

Jason Schreier from Bloomberg, in a recent tweet, said, “Not that there was much doubt, but I’ve confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend’s massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real.

The footage is early and unfinished, of course. This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games.”

Another YouTuber, LegacyKillaHD, also tweeted about the leak saying, “I’m sure it is not needed, but I’ve spoken to a couple of sources at Rockstar Games this morning & they are all gutted. Devastated. Most are waiting till Monday to find out how leadership responds or what happens next, but indeed this is the real deal.”

In the following tweet, he added, “I haven’t got a good grasp on the extent of the full damage, but I was told the game had changed quite a bit as GTA 6 only entered into full production in the last couple of years.

Still, though, most are just waiting to see what happens next… Total chaos.”

Pawel Sasko, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, has also tweeted about the leak. He said –

Even though Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed the news related to leaks, their team has started taking action.

The very first thing that they’ve done is disable the comment section on their social media handles.
